Fairtrade Fortnight - Stamford
26 February 2010 to 27 February 2010
The Stamford Fairtrade Steering Committee, in collaboration with Divine Chocolate, is delighted to announce a special programme of events from 26th – 28th February to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight with special guests from the Kuapa Kokoo farmers’ co-operative in Ghana.
The cocoa farmers – from the co-operative that supplies cocoa to leading Fairtrade chocolate company Divine – will be telling a range of audiences in Stamford how their support is helping to change lives – and how, because Kuapa Kokoo actually owns 45% of shares in Divine, this pioneering business model means an even better, more equitable deal for farmers.
The dynamic Stamford Fairtrade Steering Committee, energetically led by George Hetherington, has organised events to please everyone – with plenty of chocolate to go around.
