A must for the village or school fete from Jane Milton
Makes about 20 pieces
Preparation Time 15 minutes Chill for 6 hours before cutting
125g (4oz) margarine 50g ( 1 ½ oz) caster sugar 2 tbsp golden syrup 2 tbsp milk 100g (3 ½ oz) Divine Chocolate - you choose the flavour! 250g (8oz) digestive biscuits crushed 50g ( 1 ½ oz) glace cherries, cut into ¼ s 50g ( 1 ½ oz) raisins
Place marg, sugar, syrup and milk in a pan and heat until it melts. Stir in the chocolate and stir until smooth. Add digestives, cherries and raisins and mix well. Place in a 20cm square tin lined with greaseproof paper or Teflon linerChill until firm- cut into pieces and place in an airtight container. |
