Announcing the publication of the first delicious book of
Divine Heavenly Chocolate Recipes with a Heart
Absolute Press, in collaboration with leading Fairtrade chocolate company Divine, is publishing “Divine Heavenly Chocolate Recipes with a Heart” this month. The sumptuously illustrated hardback book is an unashamedly gorgeous celebration of Divine – not only of its excellent flavour and texture and perfect qualities as an ingredient, but also its special relationship with the farmers of the Kuapa Kokoo cooperative in Ghana, who supply the best quality cocoa beans for Divine, and co-own the Divine Chocolate company.
The book is written by leading food writer and chocolate expert Linda Collister. Linda is a long-time supporter of fair trade, and has created and collected these recipes using Divine, the FAIRTRADE chocolate which owes its excellence to the best quality cocoa beans grown by the farmer members of Kuapa Kokoo cooperative in Ghana. Kuapa Kokoo receives an internationally agreed fair price for its cocoa beans, and because the cooperative also co-owns the company, they share in its profits too. The special story of Divine and Kuapa Kokoo is illustrated in the introduction to this special collection of recipes which use Divine in its many delicious varieties, and are enticingly photographed by Lisa Barber.
For anyone who cannot resist something chocolate on a menu, and loves the thought of conjuring up endless chocolate delights in the kitchen, the book of Divine Heavenly Chocolate Recipes is an essential inspiration and guide. Linda Collister’s mouthwatering and beautifully-crafted recipes offer variety and surprises – from upside down sticky pudding, to red hot chilli pepper chocolate cake, and iced chocolate tiramisu to crab risotto with white chocolate.
“Divine is a company on a mission…,” says Divine Chocolate’s Managing Director Sophi Tranchell, “... to create a wonderful chocolate experience for chocolate lovers everywhere, and that way ensuring a fair return to the smallholder cocoa farmers who grow its essential ingredient. The Divine Recipe book is perfect for the most passionate of chocolate enthusiasts – and an opportunity to stir in a potent spoonful of consumer power too!”
Recipes range from glorious chocolate cakes, sweets, puddings, and pastries to stunning savoury dishes, this is a collection including popular favourites with a new twist, and exciting new creations.
