Sophi Tranchell shortlisted for Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year 2008
Sophi Tranchell, Managing Director of Divine Chocolate Ltd, has been shortlisted for the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year Award for 2008.  Regarded as the 'oscar' for women entrepreneurs, the Awards have been running for 35 years, with previous winners including Dame Anita Roddick DBE, Prue Leith OBE, and Dame Marjorie Scardino DBE.

"The Veuve Clicquot Award is inspired by the accomplishments of Madame Clicquot, the first great businesswoman," says Veuve Cliquot Brand Director Sally Warmington. "This year's finalists share her bold approach having dared to create their own businesses and challenge boundaries in a diverse range of sectors and companies. They join a 35 year long line of extraordinary business women and we are delighted to celebrate their achievements"

Shortlisted with Sophi Tranchell are Cilla Snowball, CEO of the AMV Group, Alice Avis CEO of Sanctuary Spa Holdings, and Carolyn McCall, CEO of the Guardian Media Group.
