Richard Bertinet trained as a baker at the Grand Moulin de Paris. After a position as Operations Director with the Novelli Group he set up the Dough Co. and in 2004 he and his wife left London, and founded The Bertinet Kitchen in Bath. His cookery school opened in September 2005. Richard's has published several books which have earned him critical acclaim and a host of awards and in 2010 Richard was named as the BBC Food Champion of the Year at the BBC Food & Farming Awards.
