Chocolate Berry Overnight Oats

Thick and creamy chocolate-filled overnight oats layered with dairy-free yogurt and berry jam all topped with a dark raspberry chocolate shell and fresh berries. These overnight oat jars are a delicious make-ahead breakfast that is healthy, wholesome and naturally vegan, and gluten-free.

Ingredients

FOR THE OATS

1 ¼ cup oats (GF, if needed)

4 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp cocoa powder

½ cup thick dairy-free yogurt e.g. coconut

1 ¾ cup plant-based milk

FOR THE LAYERS

4 tbsp thick dairy-free yogurt e.g. coconut

2 tbsp berry jam, any kind

Fresh berries or other fruits

FOR THE CHOCOLATE

40g Dark Raspberry Chocolate, broken up (about ½ a bar of Divine Dark Chocolate with Raspberries)

1 tsp coconut oil

Method

Step 1

Add all the oat ingredients to a jar and stir well. Seal the jar and leave in the fridge overnight to thicken. Stir again in the morning.

Step 2

Layer the oats with the dairy-free yogurt and jam in glasses or serve in bowls.

Step 3

Melt together the chocolate and coconut oil and pour over the oats. Top with the fresh berries or fruits. Place in the fridge for 2 minutes to set the chocolate and enjoy.

Step 4

The oats will keep for 2-3 days in the fridge.
