Ingredients
For the pears
- 4 pears, halved and cored
- 2 tbsp syrup
- 1 tbsp vegan butter or margarine
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
For the chocolate sauce
- 200ml coconut milk
- 45g Divine 70% Dark Chocolate, broken into pieces
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 2 tbsp syrup
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
To serve
- pomegranate seeds, ice cream or yoghurt
Method
Preheat the oven to 160Fan/180*C.
Melt the syrup and vegan butter or margarine together and stir in the cinnamon and ground ginger. Arrange the pear halves, flat side up in a baking tray and pour over the sticky sauce. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the pears are soft and sticky.
To make the chocolate sauce, melt together and coconut milk and chocolate in a saucepan until it just boils and the chocolate has melted. Remove from the heat and whisk in the tahini, syrup and cacao powder until smooth and thickened.
To serve, pour the chocolate sauce over the pears and enjoy with pomegranate seeds, ice cream or thick yoghurt.
